Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.

Who can get a card
Archer County residents may apply for a card with a valid form of ID with an Archer County address. Children will need an adult parent or guardian with the same identification requirements to get a card.

How to Get Your Card
Present your identification at the circulation desk.

Borrowing Limits
New patrons may check out three books (books on CD) and two DVDs per family or address. After six successful transactions, patrons may check out more books (not released within three months) at the discretion of the director. Teachers may check out as many books as they need for their classrooms and may have extended check-out periods if requested.

Placing Holds
Holds may placed on items as soon as they are in the system. Please do not ask to place a hold on an item that has not been released yet. Holds will be place under the patron's name.

Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Items may be renewed by telephone, library answering machine, and in person. Please do not request to renew items by email or Facebook. New DVDs may not be renewed.

Library Fines
Fines for books are ten cents per day and a dollar a day for DVDs with a maximum of $10/per item. Processing fees of $10 per item is placed on accounts for items not returned in a timely manner.
